After last year's dismal harvest it's been delightful to find a generous handful of tomatoes every night! Our improved tomato cage has proven successful beyond our wildest dreams. We also installed a drip irrigation system, next year we'll automate it. Even though our indeterminate plants attempted to escape, I think we did something right this year. We've had lots of growth in the garden, but not as much success as one would think with all the green. The tomatoes are slowly ripening and it's a battle with the critters for the raspberries (tonight I won one). After this week's rain, I'm sure it will grow even more! While peony season is now a distant memory the rest of the garden is waking up.
