It’s spring. Daffodil shoots are aggressively pushing up in my yard, valiantly fending off the emerging chipmunks. There’s color in the sky, and verdant growth is appearing everywhere.
With the arrival of pollen, I’m also anticipating my annual bout of startitis. Thankfully, there’s nothing wrong with this phenomenon! (Don’t worry, I’m taking allergy meds for my itching eyeballs).
Over the past few weeks, I’ve been proactive, sorting through many of my existing projects that have been languishing since last spring. I found tools I thought were lost, several undocumented projects, and multiple projects that are nearly complete. My plan is to balance finishing old projects with starting new ones. We’ll see how it goes. I also ripped out several projects because I realized I didn’t love them, and they were causing both mental and physical clutter. The yarn is still good, so I’ll find the right project pairing eventually.

I have no recollection of why I set this project aside last year (apparently without any entry in any of notebooks, digital or analogue). Would I do this project differently if I started it today? Yes. However, this is a perfectly nice design and there’s no reason to abandon it.
Hopefully, I’ll soon be able to share this as a finished project!
