a happy blanket

I tried to knit a baby blanket in three days. That didn’t quite happen.

However, I did finish it in just under a week1. It grew beyond my original plan when I realized I had more yarn than I first thought2. Yes, it’s still a small blanket (approximately 18×27 inches before its bath), it’s not as tiny as I thought it’d be. And I still have some yarn leftover!

It’s knit out of new-to-me superwash merino which I enjoyed working with. Yesterday it had a nice trip in my washing machine (on delicate) and it’s now drying in a sunbeam. I’ll try to take a finished photo, find out the finished size and add more to the project page soon.

  1. It likelwould’ve been at least a day faster, but I left my project bag at shul one day! ↩︎
  2. This knitter still thinks like a crocheter when estimating yardage to finished size amounts. ↩︎
