It isn’t. Not really. My encounters with evil ivy derailed my gardening plans for this summer. I’ve mostly kept up with watering, but that’s about it. We have some shrubs we bought in July that we really need to get in the ground. Despite all my neglect, the beans were still good to us and we’ve done ok with tomatoes, though with the relatively cool summer they’re taking forever to ripen. My lemon verbena is doing well, though I try not to think about those weeds in the right of that deck container. The squash was a complete failure, I had beautiful blossoms and nothing came after. The corn grew tall, but that’s it. I have one more potential sunflower and really hope that brings some sunshine to this garden’s dismal summer.
