delayed week

I was away at a trade show last weekend. It was an amazing experience that I have yet to fully process. It helped generate an epic set of todo lists to follow up on when I returned home. I arrived at my gate just early enough so that I could decompress with a bit of quiet before the flight.

Then my flight was cancelled.

I was rebooked for a 6am flight the next morning. I’ve never been so happy to see LGA before (and probably will not be again).

My entire week is now all mixed up and many things feel delayed and out of order. My desk is covered in strata of to-do lists, business cards, yarn, work, and often a cranky cat.

I am incredibly happy. If you had told me three years ago this would actually be my life, I would not have believed you. Some days I stop to wonder if this is real. It is. Not every day is sunshine and roses, but each decision is mine and I wouldn’t change that for the world. I hope you can experience this joie de vivre too. It’s not easy, but it is rewarding.
