12663 pages to date

According to Goodreads, I’ve read (or listened to the equivalent of) 12,663 pages so far this year.

I need to write up reviews on most of those 42 books.

Oh dear, where to begin?

Pesach (Passover) prep was facilitated greatly by listening to the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series.

The Lightning Thief (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #1) The Sea of Monsters (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #2) The Titan's Curse (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #3 ) The Battle of the Labyrinth (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #4) The Last Olympian (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #5) The Demigod Files (Percy Jackson and the Olympians)

Overall I found this an enjoyable series though I’m now on a low-key search to brush up my knowledge of Greek mythology.

It’s a series that I would have welcomed when I was in jr high. Why? It doesn’t center around a romantic relationship, though there are some on the periphery. The major characters mature over the years of the series and describe ways they feel awkward. I would have felt more normal had I access to more books of this sort when I was twelve.
