treasure pack
I think all littles deserve a little pack to tote around their treasures. I knit this particular bag to take the spirit of the buddy bag and knit it in what I had hoped would be a more enjoyable way for me. I like the buddy bag I knit for another little, but I didn’t enjoy knitting that one very much. It’s a great pattern and I kept thinking about it and ways I could improve things.
I definitely changed things around and don’t know if any of it counts as an improvement. I like my finished treasure pack and know that I will knit it differently in the future. I’m not yet sure all that I will change, but I do know that I will incorporate an Elizabeth Zimmermann false/phony seam. I had thought of adding them this go around, then had closed it up and totally forgotten about it until I went to line the bag.
I need to work on my knit lining skills. I’ve not done much of it and it showed in how long it took me to line this simple rectangle. The fabric is Liberty of London. It is very beautiful and I hope makes the little girl who will soon receive this bag happy.
The finished treasure pack has a removable crochet flower pin but it refuses to be photographed and I finally gave up.
When I am happier with my choices in knitting up my treasure pack I will write up instructions. For now I urge you to buy the buddy bag pattern.
