little things

It’s the little things that we often take for granted. We’ve spent so much time with the minimum at our new home, as we slowly move from apartment to boxes to inlaw storage (their fees are quite reasonable, I recommend it) to the house. Learning to live without all the extra “stuff” has me reevaluating what we keep from the apartment. However, there are a few things which I knew we still needed.

For example, it was one little addition that is in this photo which had a huge impact and improved my day tremendously. It isn’t the beautiful new dining table and chairs, though they are quite nice and make me happy too.

Do you see it? Yes, the clock. Even better? That nail was one we missed and it’s at the perfect spot for me to see while in the kitchen! I don’t worry too much about the time if I’m elsewhere in the living/dining area as our DVR tells the time too. Do you like my clock? E bought it for me us a few years ago– it’s based on a Swiss railway clock!

  1. Wow, it’s looking beautiful! And, it’s funny, but I DID notice the clock. (I’m a clock nut myself, needing to have clocks visible from many points in the apartment.) NICE dining set.
