wild ride
Home ownership is still quite a joy – I have been enjoying all the little things such as laundry at whatever hour I feel like, mosquito bites while sitting on the deck, worrying about the electric bill (we’ve not seen one in years as it’s rolled into our apartment maintenance), mowing the lawn (twice on Sunday) and getting the place ready to live in.
I’m sore in places I wasn’t quite sure I had. E commented Friday night “my book is heavy” and I haven’t read as much as I thought I might.
Compounding that, I’ve put in more hours at the office since Thursday than I normally do in a week and a half! (edited: and I wasn’t in the office on Friday!) Thus this post will be shorter than I planned, even though I have a draft scribble of a review floating around my desk.
101 Designer One-Skein Wonders

I’m disappointed in the formatting and can’t get past that to see the designs (even though there is the goldmine of ravelry/flickr/google to show what they really look like). I admire many of the shop owners and designers who contributed, but find the organization of this book so terrible I just can’t get into it..

I suspect the joy of mosquito bites will fade first! The rest, though, is so exciting!
