Crackberry Mitts, completedLittle Gems Mitts
by Donna Kay
from Interweave Knits, Holiday 2007
rav project page

Patons Kroy Socks 4 Ply in Norfolk Blue (from two skeins, not all used) and Winter Eclipse (very little used)
2.25mm needles (for cuff & body)
2mm needles (for ribbing at fingers)
CO: 20081114
BO: 20090117

mods: made “full” thumbs with a crackberry peak hole. Thumb can fully emerge if necessary. Plan was to do full mitts with a slit to make them reversible but I was too tired of the pattern. Ribbing at hand on 2mm (ripped out the version on the 2.25 for flaring). I did not do individual fingers.
This is the second time I’ve made this pattern. It’s nice, but I find colourwork bothersome and tangling and not good for commuting.

If you are interested in the “pattern”/recipe for the mods I can attempt to write it up, once my wrists start behaving again. Today’s post was drastically truncated and left as the dribble you see above due to extreme wrist pain following a slip on black ice last week and deadlines this week.
