Balak

This week we read the portion of Balak, found at Bamidbar (Numbers) 22:2-25:9.

I know I have a large contingent of non-jewish and not-as-traditionally-observant-as-i-am readers, I’m curious. Is there something you’d like to know about judaism and never knew who to ask? I’m finding that writing up about the parshah each week is incredibly taxing for me and I’ve started resisting working on it. Which is not something that makes me happy.

However, I love teaching others. I’m definitely not an authority on Jewish matters, but believe that could help find some clarification and insight for questions.

Any takers?

In other news, last night we finally went to the photographer to finalize photos for our wedding albums. It only took us 3½ years to make the appointment. It wasn’t as painful as we thought and I was completely non-traditional in some of the choices (such as my kallah (bride) album for my mum is not white or ivory but navy blue). We’ll see the results in 3-6 months.

  1. I know exactly how this feels … I was going great guns last autumn, studying and posting. But I ran up against a personal (philosophical?) wall just before Pesach, and it’s been a challenge to get back on track. I’m sure I’ll have questions and conversations soon.
