thank you strand
I’m often lucky with my finds at Strand. Last Friday was no exception. I am now the happy owner of a hard cover copy of the 1971 edition of Elizabeth Zimmermann’s Knitting without Tears for which I paid $10.
Yes, I own a more recent “copy” … but this is so wondrous. It reminds me of my childhood in many ways which my newer edition does not. I’m still in shock it was sitting on the shelf waiting for me.
I read three very wonderful novels last week. However, E and I took advantage of a glorious Sunday and played outside and spent some time together. As we seem to do every Sunday-of-Memorial-Day. Additionally, we apparently kept with our tradition of packing sunscreen but neglecting to put it on. Therefore we are both as pink as the rice I made last week.
I’ll leave it at this for now. Next week I hope for things to be “back to normal” whatever that is.
