read: just a few
I slept most of shabbos so I only finished a few short books. I’m tired of this weather. It makes everything hurt.
Good Fairies of New York by Martin Millar. This was an interesting one. I had it on hold for eons and it was a quick fast read. Many parts of it had me giggling. A few parts of it had me in tears. Underneath it is a classic plot but to me this past weekend the fluff on top was different and interesting. If you are looking for something mindless.. enjoy!
Rifkind’s Challenge by Lynn Abbey. Female sword + healer + magic. Interesting combo. I’m curious to read her other stories.
Felted Knits by Beverly Galeskas. I had this on hold for eons. In my building are those wonderful locking front loaders, so my felting is kinda hit or miss (i.e. I’ll make a book holder or something else that I don’t care if it felts wonky) but I am not going to make clogs or something. To make those I have to visit mum (since inlaws washer doesn’t do hot anymore). I like this book. She reminds you to SWATCH and how to easily measure the change in size. (d’oh!!) I love the slippers (which is mostly why I took out the book). Anyway.. we’ll see what happens.
C’est tout. I returned a book to the library last week and walked out with 4. Today I returned two to another library and five followed me home. *sigh*
