waiting…
we were four hours early for our flight. we’re now about two hours until boarding. security was pretty boring. the person in front of me, their bag had to be super scrutinized so it got in the middle of our stuff and e had to wait quite a while for his shoes to emerge from the xray. we went through the new sandia air blast machine (some info here). it was kinda fun.. the security guy thought it was amazing that i didn’t flintch. *sigh* just because i’m a girl…
e’s first sock is done except for the toe seam. i have a really yucky broken plastic tapestry needle with me so i didn’t want to kitchener. i cast on today for the second sock but my joints are behaving something horrid (ask me about my legs some time, i’m miserable) so i haven’t done much on it yet. i also had cast on for a second BSJ using some of the sock yarn i picked up recently but it’s too busy and looks horrible. i need to rethink and look for some more sock yarn. i think i now have 10 balls of sock yarn that is perfect for heels, toes, and icord edging on otherwise plain things.
lastly, on sunday morning we stopped by a borders and i picked up victorian lace today which i will crack open once this post is completed. there is a plane in our gate which we thought was ours, but two passengers just disembarked complaining of feeling ill so who knows. i guess it’s best to annoy everyone and get off now than have to make an emergency landing later.
i have a pile of email and rss feeds to catch up on. please be patient.
