we have socks

No, I’m not talking Stephanie’s sock saga … (woman you amaze me.)

(why am I bothering with these links? Those of you that care, know all of this already. Anyway…)

I have finally knit a pair of jaywalkers!
Jaywalkers

(sorry for the bad evening light-bulb picture. I’ll try to get a nicer one tomorrow in the light.)

Jaywalkers started June 1st, 2006 (??), finished November 21st, 2006
Yarn: Regia 4-fach haltbar in color 5440 (red/grey/pink) 1.5 balls (I guess, I need a digital scale)
Needles: Brittany 2.5mm
Dimensions: fit my feet, good enough for me!
Pattern Notes: sock one had many adventures (it traveled and saw NV, UT, AZ, Tokyo, LAX, game 6, and lots of NYC). sock two, not so many… There are a few twisted stitches, there are a few extra plain rows between patterns, there is issue on one side of one of the heel flaps… but overall i’m really really really happy with it. It is the first “real” pattern I have ever knit to completion. Also, I was lazy and did a three-needle bindoff to seal the toe. I just wasn’t in the mood to go look for a tapestry needle.
Would I knit it again? Yes. It is an easy pattern for me to memorize and enough variation that it was really good for waking me up on the morning commute. I like it. Despite a lot of pink in the yarn I really do love it. Now I get to work on the yarn that LavenderSheep dyed for me. :)

I do want to try toe ups next and I’m looking for a pattern for E’s socks… in plain black.

Nibi was really happy when we put her in her food container for a few minutes the other day…
