battery recall
I own a small family of mac laptops: a 15″ powerbook (tapuach) and a 12″ ibook (snowflake).
I’ve been following the battery fiasco but not too strongly.
Today I read Small Dog’s newsletter, Kibbles & Bytes, and discovered that I am up for recall:
Affected models include:

Apple recommends removing the affected battery, and running your laptop strictly on AC power. You can use your computer without the battery in it when the computer is plugged into AC power. Simply remove the battery and plug in the AC adapter to power the computer until a replacement battery arrives.

Tapuach is currently running via AC power only. Snowflake’s battery ends in a different serial so she’s ok. Maybe this will force me to keep my desk in working order since I can’t run away and continue working!
