I had planned to continue similar to some of what I spoke about last week, but my random meanderings through that thing known as the ‘world wide web’ led me to two articles which made me think a little now, and I’ll continue to ponder them through shabbat and the coming days and weeks.

OU.org’s “Mishnas Chayim - Va’eira: Deep Rooted Problems” by Chevrah Lomdei Mishnah stretches my mind a good deal. It also sends me into giggling fits of seeing a polar bear and a penguin (such as those featured in a commercial by a certain company which airs most Decembers) floating down the Nile on an iceberg…

JOFA’s divrei torah for this week by Dr Erica Brown writes about a Pesachim 113b in her article “Too Sensitive?”. I was not familiar with this bit so I find it quite fascinating.

Our Sages taught: There are three whose life is not life: the overly compassionate, the hot-tempered and the overly-sensitive.
Talmud Bavli, Pesachim 113b

WOAH! I definitely have food for thought today, tomorrow, and the next few days.
