The Crystal Cave, The Hollow Hills, and The Last Enchantment : The Merlin Trilogy by Mary Stewart.
All in one nice 928 page hard cover. I choose books for their length while suffering from bouts of insomnia. This was a wonderful read of the story of Merlin. I’m fascinated by anything British, and anything Arthurian Britian will make my day—I am a romantic like that. I wonder if perhaps reading this book added to my insomniatic state to be quenched when I finished at 3am this morning. It was a joy to read and of a story I had unfortunately mostly forgotten. Beautifully written and woven with place, person, and story. If you haven’t read it yet, I do recommend it.
