We spent a nice two days driving up to the New York State Fair and to SteamTown (Scranton, PA). It was a nice trip.
update: i forgot, we also went to fort ontairo. i drove. there was no mention (that we saw) of safe haven

I had never heard of the refugee shelter at Fort Ontario until very recently, in Rabbi Lookstein’s book Were We Our Brothers’ Keepers?…it always intrigues me when I learn about something and then hear about it again several more times shortly afterwards in completely unrelated ways.
